First Class Zumba

Ms.Whelton’s first class are having great fun learning zumba in P.E. Zumba is a dance fitness class with a mix of different dance styles such as salsa, merengue and reggaeton. The children are really good, as you can see from the pictures!

Science experiments in First class

Both First classes have been learning about heating and cooling in science. They had great fun doing experiments to find out what happens when things are melted and cooled. We found out that butter melts very fast but jelly takes a lot longer!

Our Fruit Party

The two Junior Infant Classes have been learning all about Food these past 2 weeks in our Oral Language Programme. Today we had a Fruit Party. 5th Class History Project

We have spent the last few months working on a project about Cork songs and ballads. We chose ‘One Step Beyond’ about Nano Nagle and ‘Isle of Hope, Isle of Tears’about Annie Moore. Both women were from Cork and achieved amazing things in their lives.

Junior Infants had a wonderful time making pizzas….and an even better time eating them! Yummy!
