The children in Early Start have been learning about food recently. Last week they made their own vegetable soup. It tasted delicious.
The whole school enjoyed a Lá Glas to celebrate St. Patrick’s day. The children dressed up with a splash of green before enjoying Irish dancing during the day.
The Health Promoting school committee has organised for each class to participate in Brunch Club. This gives each class a chance to sit together and enjoy pastries, fruit and other treats while chatting with class mates and getting to know them better. The classes really enjoy the experience.
Twenty of our pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth Class won the 100 Days Attendance Challenge by being in school everyday for the first hundred days of the 2018/2019 school year. As a reward they went bowling in the Leisure Plex.
The children enjoyed pancakes this week. Some classes made their own batter before cooking them the following day. While other classes enjoyed trying out different toppings on their pancakes. I think that everyone was in agreement though that they tasted delicious.

The monthly assembly for February was held this week. There was a special award for a 6th class girl for the superb job that she did when she was a Lunchtime Pal before Christmas.
