Baking Fun

2nd class had a very busy morning as they went baking. They had great fun making some soda bread. The girls had to use their maths skills to measure out the correct amounts of ingredients for the bread. Afterwards they all got to taste some of the baking.

Sponsored Walk

The children went on a sponsored walk last Friday. The girls from 2nd to 6th walked to Fitzgerald’s Park. The children got a chance to play in the playground and have a well deserved break before walking back. 2nd class enjoyed a trip to Shandon Sweet shop today. They met Danny who makes the sweets. He told them how the sweets are made and the machines to cut and shape the machines. 2nd class then continued onto St. Anne’s church Shandon. Health Promoting School- Wake Up and Shake Up

The children as really enjoying the warm weather and the sunny mornings as they take part in Wake Up and Shake Up. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings the children get the chance to go out to the yard and practice their skipping before school starts.
