The School Garden

We are very fortunate here in North Pres to have a wonderful school garden. In the beginning of April, a number of boys and girls from around the school helped to plant some seeds in the school garden. They followed the instructions given by the teachers, and together they planted vegetables such as: cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, onions, carrots, peas, broad beans, spinach, lettuce, potatoes and radishes. The boys and girls also planted the following herbs: parsley, rosemary, thyme, coriander, dill, mustard, chives, rocket, lemon balm and sorrel. But that still wasn’t enough! As the boys and girls love fruit, they also planted apples, gooseberries, red and black currants, rhubarb, blueberries, strawberries and grapes. We look forward to seeing and tasting the fruits of their labour!
