Senior Infants did a lovely job of painting pebbles from the beach. They painted them as minions, ladybirds and monsters. They loved this very simple lesson.

look at how our garden grows!

Summer is definitely here! Our garden is blooming thanks to Ms.Coleman and Ms.Conway and all the children who have helped them with planting, weeding and decorating the garden. Not only is the garden a lovely place to be, we grow our own herbs, some fruit and vegetables.

Attendance Assembly

The final assembly for the year was held recently. Ms. O Neill presented certificates to the girls on the Health Promoting school committee. The girls from 6th class then told the children how important it is to pick up litter from the beach when they visit during the summer. Ms. Murray then presented certificates to the girls and boys who have made a big improvement in their attendance this school year. The children who missed no school day this year were also presented with certificates. These children get an extra special treat of a picnic. Ms. Byran's class then ended the assembly by singing the song "A Million Dreams"

Busy in the garden

Ms. Coleman and Ms. Conway have been very busy in the school garden recently. They have had lots of help from all of the classes. Some of the older girls helped painting tyres. We now have some very colourful minnions full of flowers welcoming us into our school everyday as well as some bright colourful flowerbeds in the garden. There is also a new insect hotel for any insects who feel like having a little holiday in North Pres. The younger class helped with all the planting that was done. All the children are looking forward to see what will grow over the next few months.
