Children from Junior Infants to 1st Class have been learning GAA skills with Hazel from St. Vincent's Hurling and Football Club for the last few months. The children love learning the skills and have great fun as well.
Our Senior Infant and 1st Classes enjoyed CAPER over the last four weeks. The children really enjoy listening to their parents reading and talking about the stories. The children and teachers were delighted that 40 mums and dads came in to show their children how important and enjoyable reading is.

The school football team took part in the Sciath na Scol football final recently against the girls from Padre Pio school. The whole school got involved in the build up with some of the older classes busy making plaits to show their support for the team. On the day the whole school was out to give the team a guard of honour on their way to the match. The girls from 2nd class up went to the match to support the team and cheer them along. The team played their hearts out and left everything out on the pitch but unfortunately it wasn't their day with Padre Pio winning the match. The whole school are incredibly proud of the team and the effort that they put in on the day and with all the training coming up to the match.
The girls from 2nd, 3rd and 4th had a lovely treat after mid term when theĀ West Midlands theatre company came to the school. They enjoyed the show that they put on and some girls even got to take part in it.

As part of their preparation for the Sciath na Scol final the school football team had a visit from some of the coaches from St. Nick's Gaa. The school was given gifts of water bottles and footballs to help them with their training.
